Privacy Policy

Bill Tracker is a shared envelope-budgeting app. Our starting point is simple: your money is your business. We never ask for your bank credentials, we never connect to your bank, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Account data — when you create an account: your email address (or Apple/Google sign-in identifier) and a display name you choose.
• Budget data you enter — workspaces, envelopes, transactions, notes. This is content you create; we store it so you and the people you invite can see it.
• Device data for notifications — a push notification token, if you enable notifications.
• Purchase status — whether your account has a Premium subscription, provided by Apple via our payment processor (RevenueCat). We never see your card details.
• Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated events (e.g. "a transaction was logged") to understand which features matter. No advertising trackers.

What we never collect

• Bank logins, account numbers, or card details.
• Your contacts, location, or photos (unless you explicitly attach an image to a transaction — a Premium feature).
• Anything for advertising purposes.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with our backend provider Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) and processed in accordance with the GDPR. Before you create an account, your budget lives only on your device.

Who can see your data

Members of a workspace can see that workspace's envelopes and transactions, according to their role. Nobody outside your workspaces can see your budget. Our staff does not browse your data; access is limited to what is technically necessary to operate the service.

Your rights

• Export — request a copy of your data at any time.
• Delete — delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete account). This permanently removes your personal data.
• GDPR rights — access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise them.
